About
About this site
This is my "social media." A place on the internet where I share things for others to enjoy and get value from, without regard to any algorithm. I publish, and you see it on the web (if you come to this site) or in your inbox (if you wait for a newsletter).
Some posts are long-form writing, others are short observations or spontaneous shares. Topics range from startup stuff to personal projects and life things. As it turns out, it all usually connects in unexpected ways.
Once a month (or so), I send an email summarizing the posts I've published here. Read what interests you, skip what doesn't.
About me (professional):
When I go to work, I do a few different things:
- I work with startups and non-profits as a fractional leader, consultant, advisor, and board member, to help them launch and scale new products and programs.
- I work with startup founders as a coach to support their journeys to thrive in their lives and careers.
- I work for folks in my local community as their handyman, fixing and building things to make their homes and gardens safe, sound, and beautiful.
Since 2009, Iโve worked in tech/software startups - building, launching, and scaling products and companies in the US and around the world. I specialize in community go-to-market strategies (e.g., startup ecosystem and developer relations). Though I'm comfortable operating as a generalist, since startups require us to be.
Thankfully, my work has taken me to 30+ countries, allowing me to understand people and business from many of Earth's cultures.
I believe that one of our most important assignments in life is to pass along a pleasant and safe planet to our ancestors. So, I like to collaborate with people who run their companies with conscious care for the next seven generations.
If any of this sounds good to you, let's talk.
About me (personal):
Most fundamentally, Iโm a lifelong student, admirer, and protector of our Mother Nature. To tell you about me, I'd like to tell you about my teachers. I've been fortunate to learn from many of them (human and more-than-human):
- Plants*, animals, elements, and other medicine spirit allies.
- *I've initiated with Rosemary, Rose, Tobacco, White Sage, and Aloe.
- Indigenous wisdom keepers and elders from across Turtle Island and beyond, including:
- Paladine Roye (Ponca), Tom Montezuma (Cherokee), Dennis Banks (Ojibwe), Fermin Quispe Apaza and Rosa Chura Flores (Hatun Qโero Tribe), Dra. Rocio Rosalez Meza (Xicana/Mexicana in the Q'ero Inca lineage), Milke Pasquel Sinuiri Panduro (Shipibo), Norman Running (Lakota).
- Francisca Santibinez and Plant Spirit Talk
- Meditation teachers, including Light Watkins (Vedic), Juniper Path school (mindfulness).
- Many other therapists, coaches, teachers, and elders.
I try my best to integrate the lessons learned from my teachers and all my relations into my personal and professional practices and pursuits. My prayer is that this integration has a collective, shared benefit that honors my teachers' generosity.
